MOCA 2.0 Comes to Fruition with Apps, Agents, and an All New Look

Welcome to a true before-and-after moment for the Museum of Crypto Art. Everything previously was preparation + alignment. What comes now is new, brash, limitless. Let us introduce the axis upon which the Museum of Crypto Art henceforth rotates: The Vibe Studio. Good name, right?

The Vibe Studio is neither an application or a protocol or a new product we want you to incorporate into your lives. The Vibe Studio is the nexus for everything MOCA has created, is creating, and will create in the future. It is MOCA’s city center, from whence everything we do can be accessed, into which the creativities and developments of crypto art will be collected together. It is literally our new home. And we’ve spent most of the last year building it.
At its very most basic, the Vibe Studio is MOCA’s cumulative UI/UX overhaul, where all of our offerings will live. At a higher level, it will play host to all our forthcoming technical innovations: every Art DeCC0s feature, every harebrained idea vibe-coded into fruition, plus all the applications, marketplaces, and inventions that our partners and community integrate into our tech-stack. We want the Vibe Studio to be a navigable network of our weird ideas and your weird ideas alike. We want it to feel like your home too.
If you’re reading this, then the Vibe Studio is live. There is no reason why you shouldn’t go hop in and explore the playground we’ve created. The rest of this article is merely a map. From here, we’ll tell you what the day-one Vibe Studio contains, what you can do within, what we’re developing, and how you can get involved.
Let’s start with the 100-million-word compendium that is the basis of our entire agentic operating system. A near-limitless environment. We call it, The Codex.
The Codex

After setting-out to turn our 10,000 Art DeCC0 PFPs into AI agents (which we detailed in our MOCA 2.0 Roadmap), we hit a hitherto unsolved problem, almost comical in scale. If we had 10,000 DeCC0s, and each DeCC0 was designed for maximum visual individuality, then as agents with personality, they needed equal uniqueness. It is almost entirely owing to the technical brilliance and near-mythical innovation of our very own DaïmAlYad that we not only confronted this problem, but bounded over it.
Next week, we will publish an essay all about the Codex’s development: Daïm detailing of how he imbued 10,000 NFTs with unique, interactive characteristics. But for now, know that The Codex is the collective result of his work with multimodal generation, peerless problem-solving, and an artist’s creativity. Think of The Codex as a massive upgrade to our DeCC0s Explorer, wherein DeCC0s can be searched individually, with their traits and purchase links all listed in one locale. The Codex page for each DeCC0 massively expands on the amount of information present, containing not only each DeCC0s aesthetic information, but the building blocks of their very personalities. Each DeCC0’s name, their lengthy biography and favorite artist, how they write, where they’re from, if they self-conceptualize (some know that they’re AI agents, many do not), their appearances and predilections and sensitivities, what information they inherently know, plus sample conversations that serve as the foundation for their manner of speech. It’s all of this, and it’s also the technical information that an agentic launcher like ElizaOS uses to actually bring each DeCC0 Agent into Descartian existence. Each Codex page boasts over 10,000 words of text on average. And all of that text is freely available for each DeCC0. All 10,000. Over 100,000,000 total words.
Creating The Codex was a gargantuan project, utilizing an astonishing amount of data. But it was also absolutely necessary to demonstrate what we’re capable of with just today’s tools. Yes, The Codex lets DeCC0 holders better understand the personalities of the DeCC0s they steward. But ambitious developers and projects can also use The Codex as a basis for their own experimentation, a framework to create better, more complex, more alive agents. We hope The Codex ushers in a wave of intricate entities to replace the rote regurgitation machines so common today.
The Codex is the deepest bedrock layer for all the agentic technology we’re pioneering, proving now and forever that MOCA lent itself to the improvement of agentic AI. We believe it will encourage others in our orbit to first follow in our footsteps, and soon push well past us.
We’re already doing some pushing-past ourselves.

We’ve already begun using The Codex to build all sorts of fascinating things. Among the first is the DeCC0s World Map, an interactive globe visualizing the hometowns and present locations of all 10,000 Art DeCC0s: updated regularly, aligned with histories, thoughtfully designed, vibe-coded entirely by DaïmAlYad.
In Daïm’s own words:
Integrated with the Codex, the map links out contextually to individual DeCC0 Codex pages and vice-versa. Find what DeCC0s live nearest to you, or perhaps consider your hometown their personal Mecca; collect a DeCC0 from every content; or find your own creative approach to exploring the intricate connections between our world and the encyclopedic lore we built for Art DeCC0s.
See, this is the type of cool-ass shit we absolutely must see more of. Let the Vibe Studio usher it in.
The Adoption Center

If there are 10,000 Art DeCC0s with 10,000 personalities and 10,000 unique worldviews, how to know which is right for you?
The Adoption Center features a rotating cast of Art DeCC0s — initially those listed at the price floor — that anyone can freely converse with and get to know. Originally, choosing an Art DeCC0 PFP was about finding one whose aesthetics you uniquely connected with. PFPs, after all, represent us in the digital world. This will always matter. But how DeCC0s think, what they think about, how they perceive, and what they like, you need a place to see that, learn that, and come close to it. We fashioned The Adoption Center after an animal rescue. Come in, literally play around with some DeCC0s, see if you form a special bond with any of them. If you do, you’ll be able to purchase your forever DeCC0 directly, or in other words, take it home.
Yeah, it’s a little gimmicky and silly, but that’s by intention. This is a testing ground for agentic conversation, where all can explore the varied personalities within the Art DeCC0 collection. It might be janky, the agents might break or be weird. But as DeCC0s gain functionality and further depth, the Adoption Center will be capable of evoking more and more of each DeCC0’s internal world.
The DeCC0 Agent Launcher

The Codex is MOCA’s brain, within which exists the initial neural scaffolding of every DeCC0 Agent. Perhaps you own some Art DeCC0s already. If not, you might now be considering getting a few of your own. The DeCC0 Agent Launcher is your hub for fine-tuning DeCC0 agents into actionable entities.
Herein, DeCC0s will internalize what you want them to know, learn to speak how you want them to speak, and ultimately go act as you direct them to act. If The Codex is akin to each DeCC0’s nature, the Agent Launcher is the place of nurture. DeCC0s will be constantly learning. In the ElizaOS-powered Agent Launcher, you can teach your DeCC0s, expand their datasets as you wish, make them experts in any areas you like. ElizaOS interfaces are simpler and easier to master than any agentic springboards elsewhere. Soon, the Agent Launcher will become a literal springboard, from whence you can give your DeCC0 Agents tasks and set them loose to accomplish what you ask them to. Want to exhibit ten pieces of underseen surreal crypto art in a novel Hyperfy world? In the Agent Launcher, you will teach your DeCC0 agents what to look for and what you like, give them specific actions to undertake, and set them off on their journeys. Identify, discover, collect, curate, create, exhibit, guide. DeCC0 Agents for the entirety of the crypto art experience.
We will keep you abreast of every development within the DeCC0 Launcher, but treat this place as your agentic home. If you want to expand the capabilities of your DeCC0 Agents, this will be where that happens.
The Community Studio
The Vibe Studio applications we’ve described above represent only what we’ve released thus far, and only what we’ve made in-house. But MOCA has always been a champion of decentralization. Just as our Community Collection exhibits artwork freely uploaded by our community (these 9000 pieces are just as much a part of the Museum as our own privately-held collections) the Vibe Studio’s greatest feat is its expansiveness.
We will never be able to outpace community developments. We’re too small a team and too easily-distracted. The Vibe Studio will be split between the comparatively-few MOCA-created applications and the many others built by our community of artists, developers, and partners. It is a gathering place for what is created around us. Some applications may relate to DeCC0s or DeCC0 Agents, some may be art-forward protocols, some may be fun and others serious or metaverse-aligned, but all will be gathered in one locale. We want to leverage our large platform and userbase to get eyeballs on new, exciting developments, and provide our community a dedicated network of applications and programs they can trust.
The first community Vibe Studio app, available at launch, is MOCA x Artscape’s DeCC0 Printer. We’ve been working with the team at Artscape for months as they’ve built a bespoke website to print high-quality physical images of Art DeCC0s and ship them around the world. The quality is unmatched, and the process is easy. 100% of proceeds go to the Artscape team, just as 100% of all proceeds within community apps will go to their creators. We look forward to seeing your precious Art DeCC0s adorning your physical world too.

The Vibe Studio is ready for additions and experiments right away. If you have something you’re building or have built, and you want to include it in the Vibe Studio, you can reach us on Discord, in our Twitter DMs, in the comments here, or — I mean, honestly, we’re pretty easy to get at. We desperately want to hear your new ideas, we want to provide support wherever possible, and we look forward to building the Vibe Studio alongside you.
Assorted Fun Stuff
This wouldn’t be a very good UI/UX overhaul if some of our favorite places weren’t easily accessible. Straight from the Vibe Studio homepage, you can find:
—the OG Museum of Crypto Art, our five collections of historically significant and cutting-edge and creative crypto art from around the world. Plus, The Library, our AI-powered database of all things crypto art, ready for your questions, queries, and scholarly pursuits.
—MOCA’s Substack, where all our weekly writings live, and where perhaps you’re reading this very article. Spooky.
—DeCC0 Plaza, a bespoke Metaverse environment filled with Untitled, xyz’s unMuseum architecture. Step inside these revolutionary 3D art galleries (among the first AI-generated metaverse buildings ever), where we’re exhibiting a rotating selection of Art DeCC0s.
—The ROOMs Archive, a kind of Wayback Machine for every MOCA ROOM ever built, every exhibition ever curated inside, every taste-making experiment conducted in these many Metaverse art galleries. With every ROOM’s curation state archived permanently in partnership with Filecoin, we invite you to see how crypto art’s collective tastes have evolved over these past three years.
