ROOMs are an important early puzzle piece of the metaverse that will bring a growing audience the grand aesthetic possibilities of architecture, and new social experiences around Crypto Art.

M○C△’s vision is to bring metaverse architects, designers, artists, and enthusiasts together to create worlds, museum wings, and exhibits of revolutionary style and scope. We want to challenge the very idea of “Architecture” just as we’ve challenged the concept of a “Museum.”

Within the next few months, we’ll take a large leap towards this future by introducing two Metaverse concepts, ROOM and FLOOR, that together let us sustainably, equitably, and consistently offer our community an ability to purchase and construct personalized exhibition rooms for their NFTs. These are hand-curated spaces, designed by unique metaverse architects, for the display of the metaverse’s finest crypto art. Or its craziest! Whatever the owners like, really.

The fulcrum is ROOM, a 3D Space/Architecture NFT equipped with a predetermined number of Slots. A ROOM with X Slots will allow X NFTs to be displayed in that space, with Slot numbers ranging from 8 to 1024. Although the latter number is currently beyond anyone’s metaverse technology, ROOM is a toolkit designed and built to grow alongside long-term advancements in multiple metaverse engines. ROOMs themselves will be differentiated based on number of slots, architect, and designer. Our Generation-1 ROOMs will have one architect, UntitledXYZ, and two design concepts for owners to choose between: “Order” and “Chaos.”

Acquiring ROOM is a simple, predictable, and scalable process that relies upon FLOOR:

FLOOR are blueprint NFTs with a single attribute: Slot number. For example, if a FLOOR has 8 Slots, it can be redeemed for a ROOM that also contains 8 NFT Slots. Once we launch FLOOR, anyone will have the ability to generate a randomized FLOOR token by bidding on it, starting an open, 24-hour auction. Only a single FLOOR auction can occur at one time, ensuring no more than a few hundred possible ROOMs can be created in a calendar year, preserving scarcity. The highest bidder will receive that FLOOR token, which they can then redeem for a ROOM of their choosing, burning their FLOOR in the process. Subsequently, owners of that ROOM have autonomy over not only which NFTs are displayed or how often they change (with gas fees totally covered by M○C△), but also over the ROOM’s API. Owners can do whatever they want with their space. It’s theirs.

While FLOOR NFTs are forever immutable, ROOMs are given the breath of life. They will change, grow, and evolve with their architect. They will be scarce spaces that represent a virtually-native method of design which is still largely undefined.

M○C△ believes wholeheartedly in architecture as Crypto Art, so the sale or transfer of ROOMs will generate royalty revenue for their architects in perpetuity. Additionally, proceeds from the sale and transfer of FLOOR tokens will go towards purchasing $MOCA tokens from the open market, community rewards, and our Ecosystem Fund.
